26Mar12:
- The SCHSBC announced sponsorship of a fund-raising tournament for
adults. It will be conducted using a double elimination brackets
contested by five-bowler teams using a Baker composite game format with no
handicap. The first round will be best of five game matcehs, with
subsequent rounds being best of three. As indicated on the
flyer,
the tournament will be held at Park Centre Lanes on Sunday, May 6, 2012 with
competition starting at 1 p.m. The tournament field is limited to 32
teams on a first come, first serve basis. The enter fee is $100 per
team with $25 in optional pots. All team members must have attended or
served as head boys or girls bowling coach for the same SCHSBC member or
past or present Stark county school. Teams can pre-register by
contacting Bill Snier (330-284-7504) or Park Centre Lanes (330-499-0555).
A $25 fee is required to hold a spot. The team will be required to
name a captain and leave that person's contact information for verification
of team members.
12Feb12:
- The results of the 2011-12 season have been posted, as have the
results of the Boys Sectional OHSAA Tournament. The invitations to the
SCHSBC Awards Banquet will be distributed to the coaches when the award
candidates have been finalized by the officers and Awards, Affairs &
Functions Committee chair.

- The 2012 USBCBA
Scholarship
form is available. The forms are due 19Apr12.
16Dec11:
- Several have asked about the students at schools that do not have
bowling programs participating with other schools. This is a school
administration issue and not one for the SCHSBC.
05Nov11:
- Roxanne Price from the OHSAA has clarified the uniform rule,
stating that a picture of the school's logo on the back of the shirt is not
sufficient identification. The school's name or nickname must appear!
08Oct11:
- The mandatory OHSAA Rules Interpretation meeting is scheduled for this
coming Wednesday, 12Oct11 at 7:15 p.m. at Heritage Christian School.
Each school must be represented at this or another of the available
meetings.
- Due to the advancement of the high school bowling schedule allowing
engagement on 04Nov11, the SCHSBC Coaches' meeting will be advanced one week
to Sunday, 30Oct11 at 2 p.m. at Park Centre Lanes. This is also a
mandatory meeting requiring representation by at least one member of the
coaching staff or administration.
